This project is a continuation of my ongoing exploration into the relationship between electricity and organic life. As a multimedia artist, my practice revolves around capturing the beauty of electricity by exposing organic materials onto paper. This portfolio explores the luminescence of electricity and its intimate connection to life itself. The water networks in plants, known as xylem, emit a subtle light that I capture on paper, creating a symbiotic relationship between the organic world and the artwork.

The principles of cellular automata, where the behavior of a system emerges from the interactions of simple individual components or “cells,” parallel the way electricity operates. In cellular automata, simple rules guide the behavior of each cell, and their collective interactions create complex patterns and phenomena. Similarly, electricity follows the movement of electrons within a circuit, governed by the rules of electromagnetic physics. The collective motion of electrons generates electric current, much like the emergence of patterns in cellular automata. Though electricity is fundamentally a physical phenomenon rather than a mathematical one, the comparison serves as a conceptual analogy to illustrate the interconnectedness of individual components and their influence on a larger system.

With over 44 exhibitions worldwide, including prestigious institutions such as the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., and A.I.R Gallery in Brooklyn, NY, my work has garnered numerous accolades, including honorable mentions and an Award of Excellence.

This body of work reflects my passion for exploring the intersection of art and science. Through a groundbreaking research framework, I aim to decode the mysteries of the universe by interpreting the ancient signs, symbols, and glyphs from historical civilizations.

At the heart of this project lies the universal mystery—the life-force that flows through all living beings, illuminated and captured by the photographic paper.
